Our startup has grown 10X in the past year; and to accelerate our growth even faster, we are urgently seeking an intelligent and driven self-starter to be our Business Development Manager.

THE COMPANY

New Amsterdam Genomics (NAG) is bringing Precision Medicine to real life clinical care. We have created novel computer algorithms that deeply analyze genomics and electronic health record data to provide 45% of patients a life changing result.

We are used by 700+ doctors across the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia, making us arguably the number one provider of real Precision Medicine. We are backed by top tier investors including Peter Diamandis (founder of XPRIZE and many others).

Over the past year, the adoption of our Precision Medicine technologies has grown exponentially. With this growth comes the need for talented and enterprising individuals like yourself. You will have many varied and interesting duties, including developing and executing sales strategies, overseeing and optimizing operating procedures, maintaining client and supplier relationships, and helping chart the culture and modus operandi of a burgeoning company.

You will influence physicians and health system administrators. You will use your critical thinking skills to help improve the clinical experience for both patients and doctors and refine our internal workflows. You will develop numerous communication, operational, and business skills; industry knowledge of the healthcare space; and much more.

As a pivotal member of a small startup, you will be working cross-functionally. You will correspond with our medical team of MDs and PhDs as well as our support and business teams. We expect every employee to learn from and to communicate with everyone.

You must be self-starting and hard working, comfortable learning new things quickly, enjoy interacting with other people, be comfortable giving presentations, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (biological sciences-related is a plus)
  • Interest, but not necessarily experience, in business
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on concurrent projects
  • Self-directed and results-driven attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel ~15% of the time
  • US work authorization (unfortunately we cannot sponsor visas)

WORK LOCATION

We are based in Cambridge, MA. You must be local to the area because this role requires 10 hours / week onsite. Otherwise, through the first half of 2023, most work will be remote / telecommute.

COMPENSATION

$70K - $120K / year base + performance bonuses of up to $50K + equity in the company.

FUTURE GROWTH

The successful applicant will develop numerous transferable skills and intangibles that will position them well for a career in business. After demonstrating success, this person may be eligible to lead a team of his/her choosing and advance to the Director level. They will also earn the opportunity to own key business verticals - to, in a sense, be a mini CEO. The opportunities at NAG are endless!

Pay: $70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
